Special Notice From Shop Owners
:: Measuring in at 16" x 21.5", this large and rather rare large collectible medical book, vintage / antique circa 1930s was created by Ralph H. Segal and is quite the display piece. It has leatherette-covered boards and contains two large double-sided color-lithographed paper-covered card sleeves with turning card discs inside. All four charts have three windows that provide a cutaway view of the torso and its accompanying legends. The charts have art deco flourishes on each page. The columns on either side of the arched legends hold portraits of historical luminaries of medicine like Vesalius, Hippocrates, Aristotle, and Leonardo da Vinci. Most of the text is anatomical description. Condition is poor on the outside cover portions and fair to good on the inside with the biggest note being as photographed, text missing and the male's wheel has come apart. We could see the middle portion framed and hung up as wall art.
