:: Scalloped center medallion with quatrefoil orientation atop a covered field with corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocating the contour of the main medallion and its finials. Wide banded main border in a continuous Samovar and meandering vine design motif with abrashes across. Unusual size and proportions. Colors and shades include: Beige, sand, dusty sapphire blue, sky blue, antique ivory, cream, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end minor border reduced by approximately two inches. Numerous patches, repairs, and restorations in varying degrees of expertise. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Ahar square rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 5'1" x 5'10".
