:: Awesome example of an earlier Fereghan carpet with a staggered allover covered field partially offset in symmetry with large scale lotus flower cross-sections and interconnected vinery and arabesques in a colorful, expressive, drawing relief. Inner minor border in a repeating boteh and meandering vine design. Unusual ivory ground for the type and age. Colors and shades include: Ivory, terracotta, wine red, oxidized silver, sky blue, blush, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Professionally reduced to the outside main and minor border. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Fereghan rug made in Persia circa 1895-1910 vintage. Size measures 3'4" x 4'11".
