:: Allover covered field in serrated leaves, reminiscent of a Herati design motif although lacking the fully reciprocated design in all instances, likely a weaver weaving on the fly with no specific map or cartoon to go by. Amazing, unusual, and rare colors, in addition to fantastic alternating color fills and starburst design elements within the inner and outer minor borders. It's possible the weaving date is considerably older than that which is cited, in addition to their being a chance of it being a migratory Armenian weaver. Colors and shades include: Charcoal, aubergine, violet purple, terra cotta, copper, sky blue, indigo blue, beige, sand, blush, teal, wine red, mallard green, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even pile height across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Multiple regions and areas of darning and repairs, in addition to recess, namely those in the darker charcoal and brown families. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Caucasian rug runner made in the Caucasus region circa 1880's vintage. Size measures 3'7" x 10'.
