:: Ornate center medallion with intricate blossomed trefoil style floral cross-sections atop an elaborate field of sprawling vinery and budded flowers with dramatic and expressive leaves. Classic Safavid inspired minor borders comprised of scrolling arabesques with powerful contrast in outlines and ground. Phenomenal impact in a truly old rug. Colors and shades include: Cochineal red, wine red, antique ivory, beige, coffee brown, copper, aubergine red, sky blue, and powder blue. Condition notes: Hard tatter to ends and sides, some foundation showing through to the interior. Light areas of mending. One area of light staining in a pale blue, more noticeable on the reverse than the face. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Kermanshah rug made in Persia circa 1890's vintage. Size measures 4'1" x 6'7".
