:: Starburst center quatrefoil orientated minor medallion atop a covered field of intricate floral cross-sections, serrated palmettes, and blossoms throughout. Classic example of a period correct partially painted rug. Colors and shades include: Brick red, dark navy blue, sapphire blue, rich teal, mallard green, ivory, pale coffee brown, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads. Fully secured sides and ends. Machine binding which appears to be applied in a reversible manner and likely overwrapping the original side cord selvages in part or full. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Lilihan rug made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 2'7" x 3'10".
