:: Circa 1880, this Antique Caucasian Kazak has unusual wide borders and rare light green field. Distressed and worn character with many areas of foundation showing, although the true original splendor of this carpet still shows through in all its glory. Green is a rare color for multiple reasons, especially that which includes dying techniques merging natural indigo and other plant-based dyes such as saffron to obtain the mellow tones replete within the field. Upon close inspection of design elements, one may note many bird and deer woven interpretations throughout. Many years of enjoyment to come! Recently professionally cleaned, ready for in-home use! Size measures approximately 4'2" x 6'3".
