:: Large scale center medallion with quatrefoil interior design outwardly directed and bearing long stemmed floral arabesques atop a covered Herati main field. Inner and outer minor borders in a very sophisticated reciprocating pawn design motif with the main border in an inverted alternating turtle samovar motif interconnected by thin vines. Beautiful abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Raspberry red, deep gold, sky blue, pale cochineal red, pink, dusty powder blue, lime green, mauve and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Localized areas of expert restoration to foundation and re-knotting. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Doroksh carpet made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 8'3" x 10'8".
