:: Oversize center medallion with starburst design and trefoil contoured blossoms outwardly directed adorned at either end by minor finials atop a densely ornamented main field of minor flowers, leaves, blossoms and more. Highly unusual green gold main border ground color, with expressive arabesques in mirrored orientation reminiscent of a turtle samovar design motif each with their own interior floral palmette. Corners of the main border reconciled with outwardly directed botehs each bearing their own germinating plant. A very finely woven rug for type and age. Ideally suited for an area deeper inside the home subject to lighter traffic, either barefoot or in socks. Colors and shades include: Navy blue, beige, aubergine, cochineal red, dusty gold, dusty lime green, sky blue, silver, ivory, pale coffee brown, and more. Condition notes: Wear across to foundation and knot heads. Tatter to sides and ends. Multiple areas of hard wear, minor splits along edge and interior, a few dog-eared corners, exposed foundation, loss and hard tatter to sides and end. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Kermanshah rug made in Persia circa 1890's vintage. Size measures 4'2" x 6'.
