4.5x6.5 Vintage Afshar Rug

:: Mirrored potted plant and ornate floral arrangement stemming from a vase with birds perched at the top. Inner minor border in a starburst meandering vine design rendering with interesting minor stepped adjustments in weaving scale at the top portion of the rug. Colors and shades include: Navy blue cobalt blue, sky blue, chestnut brown, sand, beige, ivory, jade green, oxidized copper green, madder root red, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with hard isolated areas of foundation showing through. Mostly secure sides and ends. Some separation of side cord selvedge that is present on both sides of the carpet. Multiple areas of interior darning and minor split corrections. Stripe of partially frayed fabric binding sewn to the reverse end. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Afshar rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 4'7" x 6'5".
