7x10.5 Vintage Distressed Sparta Carpet

:: Oversized center medallion with quatrefoil inwardly directed palmettes adorned at either end by trefoil finials in Samovar contour and delicate scrolled tendrils atop an open field with corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocating the contour of the main medallion. Colors and shades include: Ivory, cream, dusty powder blue, pale coffee brown, sand, beige, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One or two blemishes found on the reverse side in varying sizes not translating to the front of the carpet. One or two localized areas of professional reweave and restoration. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Sparta carpet made in Turkey circa 1970's vintage. Size measures 7'1" x 10'6".
