:: Quadruple center medallions in horizontally elongated / rectangular shape, each wrapped by oversized hook design motif interconnected by one thin delicate vine, atop the covered field of starburst and rams horn design motifs. The absence of a main border adds to the unusual character. Colors and shades include: Dusty cochineal red, sky blue, charcoal brown, ivory, powder blue, beige, and more. Condition notes: Formally a much larger rug, recently professionally sized down. Some embedded residue from an old pad, which has since been remedied. The pile which exists is rather short and somewhat bristly after the wash, otherwise wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Professionally redone side cord selvages in polychromatic theme. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Caucasian Kazak rug runner made in the Caucasus region circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 3'8" x 7'1".
