:: Exquisite and rare very late 1950's to 1960 gouache painting created and signed by collectible and highly acclaimed artist Zvi Raphaeli who emigrated to Israel in 1945 following his participation in the French Resistance during World War II. Following his death in 2005, his work has been in great demand. This painting is such a unique piece entitled "A Corner in Safed" and it depicts a street view of Israel. Stamped on the back by Safrai Art Gallery dated 1960. Work is mounted on unknown mat. Perfect for an Israeli art collector, or someone looking to add a spectacular one-of-a-kind vintage art piece to their wall. Size measures 13.75" x 19.75".
