:: Bold diamond shaped center medallion in stepped contour with each pointed corner bearing a finial atop an abrashed main field. Herati design in the corner spandrels and main medallion. Awesome dragon inspired outer border, with main border in a repeating samovar turtle design motif. Colors and shades include: Burnt orange, terra cotta, silver, oxidized silver, charcoal, antique ivory and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Tatter to ends. Tatter and loose areas to both ends and corners, with minor loss to both ends, and isolated residue of old adhesive on the reverse edge. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Halvai Bijar carpet made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 9'5" x 14'8".
