:: What appears to be an early edition circa 1910-1920 antique pull down map of France by well-known Vidal de Lablache (1848-1918) who is thought of by some to be the founder of human geography. Really fantastic patina with subtle colors, this original map was mounted on canvas for the USA by Denoyer Geppert and depicts the Provinces of France in 1789. Original but repaired rod is along the bottom and new rod in the spirit of original can be epaired onto the top so it will be all ready to be hung! Overall good condition along the face of the map with some very minimal spotting, rips and tears along the top and bottom section. Measures 40" x 43.5".
