:: Oversized stepped center medallion adorned by large sale palmette finials atop a covered field of serrated leaves with scrolled tips. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. Main border in a Turtle Samovar design motif with Herati serrated leaf and floral top view buffering therein. Abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Copper, dark terracotta, slate blue, oxidized silver, beige, sand, dusty powder blue, platinum, chestnut brown, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 9'11" whereas the opposing measures 10'3". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mehrivan carpet made in Persia circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 10'3" x 17'9".
