:: Covered field in blossomed geometric germinating plants with prayer design motif and checkered top prayer niche mehrab. Excellent abrashes across, especially those found in the lighter and deeper shades of blue. Much of the hard etching and appearance of wear is based on mordants used on darker shades, namely those in the chocolate brown families. Colors and shades include: Chocolate brown, cherry red, sapphire blue, sand, beige, powder blue, oxidized silver, and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Tatter to sides and ends. Hard tatter and many, many threadbare areas and hold prone regions found throughout with areas of darning and mends in varying degrees of expertise. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Caucasian square rug made in the Caucasus region circa 1890's vintage. Size measures 3'5" x 4'5".
