:: Stepped center medallion with elongated finials atop a heavily abrashes ground and numeric inscription 1971 in the main field. Main border in a wide banded contour top view starburst floral design elements with serrated details. Colors and shades include: Dusty aubergine, dusty mauve, coffee brown, dusty magenta, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Multiple areas of expert restoration. Slight contour to shape with minor bowing, and one end measures 3'9" whereas the opposing measures 4'. This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1970's vintage. Size measures 4' x 5'11".
