2.5x5.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug Runner

:: Shield-like oversized center medallion with am interior, outwardly bursting, floral bouquet with central pomegranate style floral top view atop a heavily abrashed ground with halved floral palmettes and corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocating the contour of the main medallion. Meandering vine main border in primitive arabesque design rendering with heavy abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Rust, pale tangerine orange, oxidized silver, magenta, deep seafoam green, pale royal blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One corner of the carpet has been expertly restored and expert reconciliation to the outer minor striped border of one end. Localized areas of oxidation and fade to the main field. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side.
