:: Unusual and rather intricate oversized concentric center medallions in diamond shape. Simplistic and primitive, yet detailed, starburst formations scattered throughout in a pattern of staggered rows. Main medallion wrapped by suggestive secondary shadow medallion, comprised of more densely compact floral cross-sections of which are also mirrored in part in each corner spandrel with random unpatterned color fills. Finely woven, rather harmonious, and exhibiting great artistic merit. Colors and shades include: Sand, beige, dark navy blue, sky blue, chocolate brown, antique ivory, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads. Small areas of professional restoration, notably one corner measuring approximately 1" x 1.5". Original side cord selvages worn, although intact. Minor loss to one end, although both ends secure by means of an overcast stitch. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Caucasian Shirvan square rug made in the Caucasus region circa 1900. Size measures 4'3" x 4'5".
