05/04 Saturday in Review: Behind the Scenes

Well, the last two weeks flew by! Still working (slowly) on our bedroom update and I just could not wait to paint our bed frame so I enlisted the help of our 3.5 year old and we got the job done to a certain extent. Made a huge difference but then the 6 year old came home and got angry because apparently he loved the frame yellow and gray is a junk color?! Uh, who knew - I do not agree with this!? Anyway! I adulted hard in purchasing my first duvet cover for our new favorite thing - our Brooklinen All Season comforter, prepped new art for our town's 2019 kickoff Art Stroll event - watercolors and mixed media by Canadian artist Katelyn Morse and older weavings by amazing NY artist Lea Thomas. The Art Stroll was a hit with live music by our dear friend Kevin McCarthy.

Hopefully next week I will have more to show for myself in the bedroom makeover department - I have been having a hard time choosing the right dark paint color and am receiving in my first piece of West Elm furniture and hoping for the best on it because it will be an important one in the room as we lack storage and will hopefully be a perfect solution. We also received in some pretty darn beautiful Rejuvination nightstand lamps that I have yet to set up and cannot wait to show off! Until then, enjoy the weekend and week ahead!

xo,

Melissa
