:: Diamond shaped center medallion with central floral design motif atop a covered field of a repeating boteh design element arranged in staggered rows and alternating direction, each with their own interior germinating plant design motif. Main border in a partial Herati and Turtle Samovar design rendering. Inner and outer minor borders in a reciprocating serpent wave design motif. Colors and shades include: Brick red, navy blue, ivory, copper, sky blue, sapphire blue, madder root red, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Minor loss to one end. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Engelas rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 2'9" x 3'9".
