:: Diamond shaped center medallion with interior henna plant design motif atop a sky and watery blue ground with stepped contour enveloped perimeter and arrowed finials adorning either opposing end. Main ground in a tone-on-tone shadow design motif shrub and germinating plant / arabesque design element. Corner spandrels in diagonally connected boteh and vine design motif. Main border in a repeating geometric pomegranate and meandering vine rendering. Colors and shades include: Sky blue, powder blue, madder root red, raspberry red, dusty blush, faded cochineal red, saffron yellow, aubergine, pink, jade green, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Malayer carpet made in Persia circa 1890's vintage.
