12x14.5 Antique Oushak Carpet

:: Oversized center medallion with flame-like enveloped detailing with interior outwardly directed germinating blossoms in cloud-band leaf stylization at either opposing end atop a covered ground of two tone coloration gold design elements in intricate nuanced floral rendering and relief atop a pale dusty seafoam green ground. Corner spandrel overlays in partial interior fill format to that of the main medallion. Colors and shades include: Saffron yellow, gold, tangerine orange, seafoam green, ivory, platinum, madder root red, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Carpet has a binding sewn on to entire perimeter to prevent rippling. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak carpet made in Turkey circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 11'11" x 14'8".
