:: Minor center medallion in starburst formation atop a covered field of sprawling delicate tendrils, blossoms, buds, floral sprays, and bouquets with a serpent inner and outer minor border. An interesting connector piece with clear design input of the new European market of fine German style Sarouks also carrying over the unique, not commonly found, inner minor serpent border found within few scattered examples of late Farahan weavings. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, pomegranate red, lime green, sapphire blue, sky blue, antique ivory, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Minor moth etching to one corner side and end which may over time release knots in isolated areas, although should sustain for main years with proper light maintenance of an antique rug. A period correct painted carpet. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Sarouk rug runner made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 2'6" x 4'9".
