Adorned at either end by trefoil contoured finials atop an elaborate covered ground of serrated leaves, floral arabesques, buds, and blossoms interconnected throughout. Colors and shades include: Black cherry red, blush, ivory, dusty pale teal, slate blue, bright lime green, saffron yellow, dark beige, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 8'7" whereas the opposing measures 8'9". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Ahar carpet made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 8'9" x 11'11".
