8x11 Vintage Heriz Carpet

:: Allover covered field with very minor diminutive central floral top view surrounded by sprawling large scale sickle serrated leaves and large scale multi-color tiered palmette outwardly directed. Main border in a turtle samovar design element with boteh and geometric floral fill. Colors and shades include: Brick red, sky blue, beige, chocolate brown, ivory, blush, sand, olive green and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Some shades softened and tamed by wash over time. Minor reduction to both ends by a few rows of knots. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Heriz carpet made in Persia circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 7'10" x 11'.
