:: Minor shield-like center medallion atop a covered field of palmettes, floral guls, fiery sun-like outlines, leaves, and intricate delicately drawn vines interconnecting throughout. Main border in a partial Herati-like design motif of scrolled serrated leaves and Mahi Mahi style fish encompassing the central floral design element. Heavy abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Charcoal, dusty chocolate brown, ruby red grapefruit, ivory, cream, antique ivory, powder blue, beige, sand, silver, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Slight contour to shape, within normal margin for type and age. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mahal carpet made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 10'8" x 13'10".
