12x14.5 Vintage Art Deco Carpet

:: Covered field with ornate vased plants and lotus flowers in full bloom scattering the field with a Phoenix flying in a pictorial garden scene. Mountainous landscape imagery in the lower corner with an interesting fusion of simplistic bounded borders with sprawling plants which overflow these confines. Colors and shades include: Rich emerald green, purple, mauve, ivory, sand, copper, aubergine, jade green, forest green, and pale coffee brown. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Some speckled regions of white knots poking through the pile, common to the type when recess or wear to the pile is present. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Chinese Art Deco carpet made in China circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 11'10" x 14'5".
