:: Triple gul sheer carpet from the Amu Darya region circa 1910. Plethora of colors of the type: madder root red, chestnut brown, rich chocolate, soft ivory, rose, and a lovely saturated gem blue. Original triple side cord selvages in tact and made of goat hair. Goat hair is significantly more bristly than wool and notable since it indicates that the weaving was intended by the indigenous people. Ends professionally secured. Wool foundation and some knotting, namely the saffron yellow and light purple shades in another material, perhaps silk. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Beshir rug. Exact size measures 2'2" x 3'7".
