Vintage Mehreban Rug Product Description and Details

:: Allover covered field in pinwheel and floral cross-sections wrapped by serrated leaves. Good example of a classic, period correct, painted carpet. Colors and shades include: Gem tone raspberry red, sapphire blue, pale copper, dark burgundy red, ivory, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Fully secured sides and ends. Machine binding which appears to be applied in a reversible manner and likely overwrapping the original side cord selvages in part or full. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mehreban rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 3'7" x 6'3".
