:: Mid-century hand-woven Turkish carpet. Even wear to knot heads throughout. Original sides and ends with unusual narrow outer border. Solid field adds to the unique character and simplistic form of this rug. Some light re-piling to the field with low areas close to foundation. Carpets like this with minimal design elements are often inspired by turn of the century stylistic renderings of simple form. Decorative qualities closely relating to art deco such as nichols and fette-li carpets from China with the main difference being absence of design elements related to the regions of which they were woven. Modern design. Many years of enjoyment to come with this runner! Recently professionally cleaned, ready for in-home use. This vintage 1960's distressed Oushak hand knotted in Turkey measures 3'1" x 10'7".
