Print tear sheet
:: Circa 1910-1915 transitional Sarouk. Weave is relatively fine akin to that which can be found shared by both Farahan Sarouk and Mohajeran Sarouk. Large sprawling simplistic yet detailed floral bouquets stemming from vases and energizing the navy blue field. Multiple tree of life designs and inward facing planters pointing to minor medallion of skeleton outline. Border is reminiscent of some of the finer weavings of the Josan region. A beautiful example showcasing the best character shared by several weaving areas. Borders embody a burnt brick color. Scattered wear and distress throughout this rug. Many years of enjoyment to come! Recently professionally cleaned, ready for in-home use! Size measures approximately 3'1" x 4'7".
