:: Unusually finely woven Heriz "area" rug featuring double oversized center medallions in starburst drawing atop a playful covered field of intricately drawn germinating vines, budding flowers, blossoms, starburst formations, and elaborate leaves in each corner. Inner field buffered by an unusual floating Laleh Abassi reciprocating pawn motif. Main border elaborately drawn with elongated sharply serrated leaves scrolling throughout. Highly stylized and unique example from the region. Colors and shades include: Indigo blue, cherry red, ivory, beige, sand, camel, powder blue, blush, and light coffee brown. Condition notes: Even wear across with areas of foundation showing. One hole / threadbare area, approximately 5" x 2". Tatter to sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Fine Heriz rug made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 2'10" x 4'4".
