:: Note - Photographs are pre-conservation: Ends are secured in the spirit of the original carpet. Very unique and hard-to-find antique Chinese carpet ca. 1900 with unusual striated indigo motif absent of any direct hint of Chinese or Taoist decorative elements other than 'running water'. A great find in phenomenal condition showing partial original plainweave. One 3"x2" area on the reverse of the rug shows an old mend toward the edge which is rather crude but must date close to the age of the rug. Many years of enjoyment to come with this rug! Recently professionally cleaned, ready for in-home use. Exact size measures 3'2" x 5'8".
