:: Unidirectional Tehran carpet defined by a refined synthesis of symbolic and classical Persian design elements, anchored by a central tree-of-life vase composition that organizes the field into a structured yet fluid vertical axis. Surrounding this, the field is filled with an elegant thousand flower top-view floral system, rendered with precision and density typical of urban workshop drawing. A subtle Veramin-derived niche overlay introduces an architectural framework that gently contains and elevates the central composition without dominating it. The borders are particularly distinctive, featuring repeating bowls or vessels of pomegranates, a motif associated with abundance and continuity, arranged in a rhythmic, almost frieze-like sequence. Interspersed throughout are stylized cypress trees, reinforcing themes of longevity and spiritual ascent. The combination of these elements, tree-of-life vase, symbolic fruit vessels, cypress forms, and finely articulated floral heads, results in a composition that feels both intentional and layered, reflecting a workshop design that prioritizes symbolic coherence and decorative sophistication over standard pattern repetition. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One or two repairs in varying degrees of expertise. Isolated wear to knot heads and minor isolated moth nibbles (now since cleaned). Newer side cord selvages. Some light touch-ups rinsed out having colored white knots and a few small areas of warp cords. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
