4x5 Vintage Northwest Persian Square Rug

:: Covered field in an elongated Herati and Mahi design motif atop a vivid blue ground wrapped by a simplistic geometric main border of minor medallions with interior germinating plants. Inner and outer minor border in a meandering vine and minor blossom design motif. The main field also features a few human figures. Colors and shades include: Sapphire blue, ivory, dusty powder blue, dark chocolate brown, pale terra cotta, pale rust and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. A few scattered white knots surfacing through the pile. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Northwest Persian square rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage.
