4x6.5 Antique Farahan Sarouk Rug

:: Scrolled scalloped center medallion of sprawling tendrils with interior Garden medallion finished in floral blossoms in large scale. Tree-of-life design motif at either opposing end, scrolling through and around the main field and medallion. Stepped pawn / geometric cloudband corner spandrels flanking each corner, inwardly directed. Slightly wider and bold main border of floral cross sections, botehs, and lovely abrashes spanning one end. Colors and shades include: Antique ivory, dusty blush, chocolate brown, coffee brown, navy blue black, sky blue, dusty teal, dusty rose, dark sapphire blue and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Minor reduction to both ends and repairs in varying degrees of expertise. A few knots missing in the center of the rug. Ends are secured. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Farahan Sarouk rug made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 4'1" x 6'4".
