:: Antique Lavar Kerman circa 1890 with large sprawling oversized center medallion. Navy, charcoal and colors of the like throughout. Traditional Kerman stylized feel with splayed cross sections of floral design elements. Most unique is the main border, which is a reciprocating inversion similar to Laleh Abassi design, although most reminiscent of weavings from the Safavid period emulating a dragon outline. Lovely shades of sky blue. Signature Kerman cochineal red. Localized area of wear across consistent with distressed aesthetic. Several patches, small and rather inconspicuous. The shape of the carpet is slightly more narrow at the top. Sides and ends professionally secured. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Kerman rug. Exact size measures 4'2" x 6'5".
IMPORTANT NOTE - since having been photographed a split has developed in the rug approximately 4" in length. This has been accounted for in the price, photographs coming soon.
