6.5x9 Antique Mahal Carpet

:: Covered field in lattice oriented delicate outline panels defined by thin vines each highlighted by a germinating plant with serrated leaves and expressive pinwheel floral top views scattered throughout. Colors and shades include: Olive green, blush, oxidized silver, beige, copper, terra cotta, pale ruby red grapefruit and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Both ends have been expertly restored. One area measuring approximately 4" x 8" also professionally restored and localized to one side. Slight contour to shape, within normal margin for type and age. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mahal carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 6'4" x 9'2".
