7x10 Vintage Distressed Veece Carpet

:: A Veece rug from the second quarter of the 20th century shows a large central hexagonal medallion with a dense geometric surround, flanked by broad diamond-shaped motifs and stepped angular elements. The field is framed by a broad inner border with stylized geometric repeats and a multi-register outer border of small floral and linear motifs. The overall composition is symmetrical and graphic, with a muted palette that emphasizes the architectural patterning with dramatic hook and latch bold renderings. Colors and shades include: Cream, antique ivory, pale seafoam green blue, chocolate brown, beige, sand, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. A few localized areas of repairs in varying degrees of expertise scattered throughout. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
