Vintage Sivas Carpet Product Description and Details

:: Allover covered field in repeating clusters of inverted coloration inwardly directed serrated leaves in partial cypress tree formation with lotus flower and palmette cross sections scattered throughout. Main border in a floral arabesque and blossom design rendering. Colors and shades include: Beige, antique ivory, dusty raspberry red, slate blue, celadon green, blush, rose and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 9'1" whereas the opposing measures 9'4". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Sivas carpet made in Turkey circa 1960's vintage. Size measures 9'4" x 12'10".
