:: Traditional center medallion Heriz carpet with rectlinear weaving style. Multiple overlapping bursting medallions with germinating flowers atop a dark navy and burgundy red ground. Ivory corner spandrels with meandering samovar/turtle design elements in the border. Colors include wide ranges of blue from soft powder blue to sky blue and saturated indigo, beiges, gold, wooded tones and hints of saffron yellow in addition to multiple shades in the red and blush families. Particularly attractive mallard and lime green. Fully secured side cord selveges with slight tatter to either end. Localized areas of distressed texture and aesthetic. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted vintage Persian Heriz carpet circa 1940's. Exact size measures 8'11" x 11'10".
