:: Vintage 1930s pull down map of United States + Mexico and its Possessions by Johnston & Nystrom, a part of the "New Unrivaled Series", depicting Philippine Islands before they became independent and a rare large rendering of Alaska. Really unique and lovely map. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. Signs of use and age with some condition issues along bottom (was likely rolled down often in classroom) and a lot of bowing of the paper/canvas. Includes original spring roller along top but not the mechanism to allow it to roll up and down (you have to manually do so unless you buy the mechanism separately). Pull down maps like this are an outstanding choice for wall art as they are aesthetically pleasing, are conversation pieces, and are stand alone large pieces that fill up a great deal of wall space in their own glory. Enjoy for many years to come! Exact size measures 67" tall x 40.5" wide without dowel, 44" wide with dowel.
