:: Amazing antique oil on canvas painting, that is (judging from the rather primitive wood on the back) vintage circa 1850-1890, perhaps even older. It seems to be depicting a young boy taking a break from hunting game with his two dogs (that seem to be Spaniels or Border Collies). This piece does have some conditional issues as it is very, very old. There are rips, a couple of holes, a markered area of exposed canvas, chipped wood on the back, and as you can see in picture #5, some looseness + ripping with the attachment of the canvas to the wood. Would look beautiful in a rustic-inspired home! There appears to be no signature on this piece, but who ever created it was quite the artist as it is a stunning work of art that truly speaks to the time! Measures 14" x 20".
