:: Very rare and unusual antique circa 1855 United States Tree of Liberty Chart that has been restored in the complete spirit of the original intention. Backed to fresh linen, new wooden dowels in place, leather straps up top to replicate how we found it (+ how it was intended to be), all state seals fully intact (only one was restored, all others are in original as found state). It is shocking the piece survived as it was not meant to stick around as it was likely hung from a classroom wall year after year. Only one other has surfaced over the past couple of years -- one was a print made during the time and the other is in a museum archive. Published by the very well-known Ensign and Thayer, this chart is a highly decorative piece of our American history and it is simply put, amazing. Size measures approximately 23" x 31", excluding dowels.
