:: Semi-antique Painted American Sarouk. Gorgeous deep ruby red American Sarouk carpet with allover design. Wonderful scale and detail. The medium blue is particularly attractive with excellent saturation and dreamy abrash. Border is darker blue, and provides excellent contrast for the classic Persian dark blue and red combination. A stunning carpet with high luster wool with a silk-like appearance and plush feel. Condition is above average: A well cared for carpet with only minimal evidenced wear. Approximate weaving date circa early 1930's. An excellent example in a very hard to find size, condition, and aesthetic. Size measures 8'6" x 11'2".
