:: Vintage circa 1950s painting on wood with wooden frame of The Norma and Gladys schooner which was built in 1945 by Captain Henry Stone and one of the last schooners to be built in Newfoundland. It was constructed of local birch and measured 93 feet and unfortunately sank in Placentia Bay in 1984. This piece is incredibly attractive with the sweetest of blue skies and waters and the schooner looking majestic amidst all that blue. In fair condition, there are markings and signs of age and use on both the painting and on frame. Approximate size measures 33" x 26".
