:: Used by the Lobi Tribe in Burkina Faso, these iron snakes were used and recognized as currency for transactions. They would also tie them to their calves to protect them from snake bites and lightning. Circa mid 20th century and possibly older, this piece has such incredible handmade charm and no two are identical. As this item is in vintage condition, it may show signs of age and use. Would look so great mounted to wood and hung as the art collectible it is! Approximate size measures 17" x 1.75" x.75".
