:: Stunning Oriental rug of Persian Sarouk design. The carpet dates to the 1920's or 30', and is very rare in its style, condition and size - it is so difficult to find this type of rug in these proportions. It has a unique design with very unusual blue shadow medallion and corner spandrels, with super rich and saturated colors throughout. The main color of this rug is a dark cranberry red with a bit of a fuchsia tone to it. Outside of desirability in type, colors, motif, the condition is also quite nice, with overall even wear close to the knot-heads. Ends are intact, overcast to prevent loss, edges have been professionally re-selvedge in the spirit of the original, and this rug has recently been professionally cleaned. Would look so beautiful as a hallway runner in a vintage-inspired home or against the wall for a little artistic area with a chair and some books or in front of the couch. The options are endless, and it would fit in nicely with a myriad of home styles! Measures in a great runner size of 6'8" x 2'2".
